Printing the labels
The fiddliest print in the system, and the only one that needs a 0.2mm nozzle and a filament swap.
Only if you build from scratch
Labels come printed with every kit, including the no-prints kit. You only need this chapter if you are not ordering your modules from me, or want to reprint a label with different text. Skip to building the modules.
A label is two materials in one part. The bottom layer is translucent so the LED behind it lights the text, and the top is dark so it blocks light everywhere the text is not. The swap between them is a scripted pause, not a multi-material printer.
You need a material that is translucent and diffuses light on the bottom layer, plus a dark material that blocks light well for the top. SUNLU meta PLA in white and black works for me.

Setting up the print
- Place your text on the top of the label and set it up to be a 0.2mm deep cut.
Keep to what the label physically fits: 16 characters on a one-line label, 12 per line on a two-line one. Those are the limits the configurator holds you to.
- Put an automatic pause at the start of the second to last layer.
- Start the print, and swap to the dark filament when it pauses.
The key module is the exception. Its labels are not backlit, so one material does.
