How to build a box from a kit, and how the parts of the system actually work.
SIMINPUT is a modular button box with six slots. You can order one assembled, order it as a kit and put it together yourself, or print and build the whole thing from the published files. These pages cover the last two.

Every part is printed and in the box. You solder it, set the inserts, glue a few things, and screw it together.

How the build guide is arranged
Chapters run in the order you actually work, and each one opens with the parts to lay out before you start it. Follow the next link at the bottom of a page and you will not get lost.
Two chapters carry a badge in the sidebar because most builds skip them: printing the parts is only for people printing their own, and printing the labels only for scratch builds, since labels come printed with every kit. With either kit you can walk past the labels chapter and lose nothing.
How it works
The second half is explanation rather than instruction: what is on the PCB, what the firmware does with your inputs, what the desktop app is for, and what makes something a SIMINPUT module. Read it when you want to design a module or change how the box behaves. You do not need any of it to finish a build.
